Hi, I'm Cole.
About Me
I am a Ph.D. Candidate with the department of Higher Education and Student Affairs at The University of Iowa. In addition to being selected as a Graduate Research Fellow and a Graduate Teaching Fellow, I bring almost a decade of college student development experience gained across multiple institutions and roles. Prior to joining the Belin-Blank Center, I served as part of the Student Care and Assistance team where I helped develop several institutional-level initiatives and acted as the basic needs advisor to the Office of the Dean of Students. As the chair of the UIowa Basic Needs Committee, my contributions helped strengthen cross-department partnerships, and I directly helped shift how the University collects and acts on student data. My expertise in survey design is also featured on several current institutional-level assessments including the Excelling@Iowa survey and the most recent SERU survey. As part of the Bucksbaum Early Entrance Academy Team, I teach seminars for early college entrants, mentor neurodivergent college students, and I lend my experience towards helping the team design and develop high-impact educational experiences.
